in order to preserve the integrity of our health care system.

Professional
Alliance for the Health of Asylum Seekers and their Children
The
CPMC is a member of the Professional Alliance for the Health of
Asylum Seekers and their Children. The Alliance aims to address
the concerns of health professionals about:
- access
to health care and other essential services by asylum seekers
and ex-detainees (Temporary Protection Visa holders) living
in the community, in particular children and adolescents;
- the
level and standard of health care in Department of Immigration,
Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA) Detention Centres;
and
-
the impact of detention on asylum seekers in Detention Centres,
in particular to the health and development of children and
adolescents.
